Every organization should have both a Mission and a Purpose Statement. At Glynn, our mission is to be the most respected and sought after Electrical Contractor in the region. To continually grow and prosper while adhering to our values of the S.H.I.E.L.D. (More about our values below). Our Purpose statement is a little bit different: Positively impacting customers, team and community. Our approach to fulfilling that purpose is described below.

-By being available in emergency situations
OUR VALUES: THE S.H.I.E.L.D.

LIVING ACCORDING TO THE VALUES OF THE S.H.I.E.L.D.
We have identified a set of 6 core values that should define the essence our organization and the qualities to be found in our people. These values should be clearly reflected in the way we do business and the way we handle relationships with each other and with the community. These are not intended to simply be words on a page but rather a set of characteristics we should expect to see lived out and put into action on a day to day basis from every member of the team. Have a look below to see what some of our staff have to say about what it means to them to live out these values.
SAFETY
HONESTY
INTEGRITY
EXCELLENCE
LOYALTY
DEPENDABILITY

John Szwyd,
Service Project Manager
SAFETY.
“This is a great company with great opportunities but at the end of the day it is our families that count on us to arrive home safe every day. We all play an equal role in MAKING SURE that happens.”
John Szywd, Service Project Manager, With Glynn Since 2018

Heather Szklasz, Construction APM
HONESTY.
“Honesty is about being completely open and transparent, even when it comes to difficult topics. It’s about telling our clients/customers the truth about how long something is going to take and how much it is going to cost.”
Heather Szklasz, Construction APM, with Glynn Since 2018

Bill Labelle, Service Journeyman
INTEGRITY.
“Integrity is doing what you say you’re going to do. It does not mean you will ALWAYS be successful, but that you will follow through with what is expected of you. A person can judge themselves on the decisions THEY MAKE when no one else is around to see them.”
Bill Labelle, Service Journeyman, with Glynn Since 1995

Tim Stearns,
Director of Purchasing
EXCELLENCE.
“Anytime your work could be a little better you have not attained Excellence. A little crooked, a little messy, almost square, only off by a few bucks…all are less than excellent. If you become satisfied with less than excellent work, you tarnish not only your own reputation but also the reputation of your coworkers and the company you work for.”
Tim Stearns, Director of Purchasing, With Glynn Since 2011

Mike Warren,
Service Journeyman
LOYALTY.
“At Glynn, Loyalty is easy to see on a daily basis. You can see it in the hard work we all put in each day, the long hours, and going the extra mile for the company. Likewise, the company is very loyal to its employees . This dynamic isn’t something you see very often in companies these days.”
Mike Warren, Service Journeyman, With Glynn Since 2015

Doug Cormier,
Construction Operations Manager
DEPENDABILITY.
“Dependable people are the ones that we can count on to do their jobs, to show up on time, to watch over their coworkers, and to do what they say they’ll do. Dependability matters to me because it is a form of trust and respect and it benefits every aspect of our personal and professional lives. ”
Doug Cormier, Construction Operations Manager, With Glynn Since 1998
